Details:1 Year of Rewards Gold for Free, Free Coffee Refills

From now through the end of December, get free Rewards Gold Status for 1 year, by doing this:
  1. Download the Starbucks app on your mobile device.
  2. Pay with your phone. Do this by adding funds to your app by clicking the "Pay" button at the top, then pay with those funds in-store. Here is a brief video tutorial.
  3. Your account will be automatically upgraded to "Gold level" for one year.
Once upgraded to Gold, check for a Gold card within the "Pay" section of the app. You can transfer funds to your Gold card, and get perks like free refills during your same in-store visit.

Gold status:
  • Earn 2 stars for every $1 you spent.
  • Get any food or drink item free for each 125 stars you earn. A sandwich would normally cost $5 to $7.
  • Free refills of hot or iced brewed coffee and tea during a single in-store visit.
  • If you earn at least 300 stars, you qualify for Gold level next year when your first year expires.
