The camera is available in white and in black. It normally sells for at least $70. We have two of these watching our home, and found them to be an excellent value for the price and superb video quality even at night. For someone who enjoys hacking around with technology, there's a lot of features in this little camera. We use their app to watch the webcams live and move the camera head around the room, and configured the software on the cameras to make image captures when movement is detected, and store video on an FTP server or MicroSD memory card. For someone non-technical, we do not recommend this product. The software has a lot of features/settings, and not as simple to use as a Nest or Netgear Arlo. Nest and Arlo both use a fee-based cloud service to store videos, so your operating cost would go up. The Amcrest is cheaper since a MicroSD memory card or your own FTP server can be used to store all the images and videos, but will take some time to setup. |
