Corsair 520HX 520-Watt ATX Power Supply for desktop PCs for $100 with free shipping, and a $20 mail-in rebate is available. Every other store sells it for at least $110. It has some of the best reviews we've ever seen for a power supply priced under $100, and it's rated as one of the quietest.

Note, one of the most common causes of computer hardware failues are electrical issues. Computers need to operate with constant clean power, so a surge protector (or UPS) and a good quality power supply is recommended. If you spent hundreds of dollars on computer components, better be safe than sorry by using a good quality power supply such as this one. When researching power supplies for your next PC, pay more attention to user reviews and less to maximum wattage rating.

A cheap no-name brand Ethernet Switch with capable of 10 and 100 megabit on all of its 8 ports. The device is pretty small. Price is $22 with free shipping at Buy.com, and a $20 mail-in rebate is available.

This deal is quite risky since the quality of this brand's products is unknown, and the company has a history of leaving some rebates unfulfilled (read some rebate woes here). Also across the entire Internet we can only find one positive review on this item. Still a great deal worth considering if you were already thinking of paying $20 for a network Switch.

Digital Video Essentials Blu-Ray disc is on sale for $17 with free shipping. Past versions of Essentials were great at helping calibrate a home theater system, by walking the user through audio and video tests and examples. This Blu-Ray version adds an overview of the basics of HDTV, as well as high definition screen tests & calibration instructions.

It's a brand new release and few other stores have it in stock, but those which do are selling it for $19 to $22. Blu-Ray discs require a Blu-Ray Player or a Playstation 3, and will not play in any other kind of DVD player.

Corsair 550 VX Power Supply for desktop computers for $85 with free shipping, and a $20 mail-in rebate is available. It has excellent reviews and is one of the best quality power supplies at that price.

Also a Corsair 520HX Power Supply has 3 rails instead of 1, costs $100 and a $10 mail-in rebate is available on it, and also great reviews. A rail is similar to a circuit breaker, where having all your power devices on one circuit breaker will work fine, but can be safer and more stable to split some components onto separate lines. Spreading the power over multiple 12V rails provides greater stability. More information on power supply rails can be read on Wikipedia, under the section "Small Facts to Consider".

If you paid more than $400 for a power hungry graphics card, or are building a computer expected to cost around $1000 or more, best to spend the extra dollars for a multiple-rail power supply to ensure your components have clean electricity. Either way, Buy.com has the best deals on the Corsair power supplies, rated as some of the best on the market. As always, when shopping for a power supply, pay more attention to power supply reviews and little attention to maximum wattage rating.

This is a single 1TB hard drive with 16MB cache. Some other large capacity external hard drives actually contain a pair of equal size striped hard drives, like a pair of 500GB drives totaling 1TB. Those external drives may be cheaper, but 2 drives produce twice the heat, weigh twice as much, and have 2 times the risk of breaking.
